Fall from India Place

I really liked "Fall from India Place" even though the obstacles and situations were fairly predictable. I thought it odd that Marco was all of a sudden this pushy experienced man - a man who is completely different from the one she knew five years ago.  All in all however, I did love their chemistry and the fact that they were already best friends before all the sex and the mess. I did find it very hard to believe that their relationship went as long as it did without him talking about the fact that he had a son or that she miscarried their child. Again, I still loved it, but it was a little unbelievable.

Her Perfect Game by Shannyn Schroeder

Ex lovers brought together during ComiCon. Yes, you read right - ComiCon! The point of this series by Shannyn Schroeder is for the nerd to find love. Of course, they both are a little nerdy - online role-playing games, Hackerfest, and Comic Conventions are the backdrop of most of the story. I thought it was great to have a little nerd thrown into the romance. So many times you read about the entrepreneur and the lawyers - it is refreshing to find some books with our hero as a computer analyst. Not necessarily, the richest man in the hotel (or the owner of the hotel). I found the plot believable and like all love stories cheesy in the right places.

New Year's Resolution: Romance!

Think of the craziest resolution that you could make concerning your love life and then take it to conclusion. That is the journey all three stories take us on. With all three stories, I felt a little short changed. I wanted the story to continue. I wanted surety of a happy ending and I wanted just a little more time with each character. I find these qualities of a great story and a great author. I'm ready to read more from these authors!

Penguin Story Time

Today, our story time was about Penguins! I love to do story times about animals because the signs for most animals are so on key and so much fun. Todays sign, Penguin, was no different. We did our usual opening: The More We Get Together (with signs) along with Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes. We read The Puzzled Penguin. The kids loved it when the page with the mother and her extra large beak came out. Our craft today was a simple one - I printed out penguin color pages and had them color and paste pompom balls onto the penguin. I had hoped that they would put the pompoms on his hat and scarf, but some penguins had pompoms everywhere. :) All in all it was a very good day - the kids adjusted well to my first day back in story time. I was so excited to get to see my kids and have such a fun penguin story time!

"Catch your breath" by Shannyn Schroeder

I really did like this book - I don't really understand the cover because it is not just about him. I liked how the author changed the speaker back and forth because I like to hear both protagonists view on the situation or obstacles that occur. I found it predictible that the male called all the shots when it came to intimacy - I find that since fifty shades everyone is trying to make every male character a dom in some way. Thankfully, Jimmy wasn't abrasively domineering, but still his character didn't have the rounding that I felt our heroine did. She was relatable and better understood than Jimmy. Overall, it was a very good book and I will be reading more by Schroeder.
